Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Caregiver that has the skills to manage two elderly people's needs. The position entails being 1 of 2 paid support people that are hired through InFiNet (Privately owned LLC) to support two elderly parents that reside in downtown Fort Worth. The owner of the business is a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA). This is for a married couple (patients being cared for), one who's native language is Spanish, but both speak English.
Duties
Neither has a serious life threatening ailment (albeit declining health), but both need custodial care with their ADLs (Activities of Daily Living). My wife and I handle most of their IDALs (Medication Mgmt, Doctor Mgmt, Shopping, Transportation, Money Management). They will need supplemental IDAL support w/Cleaning, Food Preparation, and Laundry. They will need help the following ADL items: Bathing (2), Continence (1), Dressing (1), Toileting (1). Both have their mental faculties, but one suffers from severe Orthostatic Hypertension and at times is very lethargic and suffers bouts of passing out. The other is just now entering slight dementia and is forgetful at times. Must be physically able of handling an adult male - 5'8" and 180lbs (meaning aiding falls, bathing, clothing).
Appointments for services are all managed by the employer. All driving, unless an emergency, is managed by the employer.
The position is for 6hrs-8hrs on Friday thru Sunday, and opportunities for more time will be based on the needs of the patient and availability of other support. The primary family caregivers (employers) live in the building next door. They will provide your schedule, coordinate with between caregivers, and do payroll every other week. The position reports to my wife over the care of her parents.
Experience
You must be an experience HHA (Home Healthcare Agent) or CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). This means 2-3 years of working for an agency and having experience with people in their 90's. We will require references (min of 2) and agreement to a background check. The individual must be acceptable to the elderly patients through a 1mo trial, following an initial 2 day orientation and review by the employer and staff. Must be able to communicate and share information with other care workers. The employee will use a phone based time/attendance system. A journal of daily care will be required. You will be required to cover your own professional insurance, and will have to provide that information upon employment. The curriculum of either licenses is essentially the roll of this position and the quantity and level of support changes by day.
The family care managers are entering 7 years of elderly care, and have the experience to know the requirements of the position and the needs of the patients. Both elderly parents are under Vitas hospice care of a nurse and team, but they do not handle their custodial needs. Between Vitas and the family management team - all the daily direction is provided with cross shift communication of pertinent facts/events.
This position is for the duration of their care until the end of their lives. That could be 9mos or 36mos. Care worker will take direction of respite care (2 sisters) – 2wks a year. All employment matters will be referred to the employers. Annual review will conducted by the Employer. Raises are based on review performance.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
