This position is responsible for leading sanitation personnel in cleaning the facilities. Provides technician training and ensures that night crews adhere to all guidelines and that all systems that are serviced are clean.
- Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6PM-6AM.
- Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Services systems by gathering tools to complete work, assisting in cleaning duties, checking that systems are emptied of product, locking and tagging out systems and having line supervisors approve work completed.

Performs fumigating duties by prepping the system, coordinating work with Plant Sanitation, assigning work to technicians and mechanics, ensuring that all systems are emptied and completing prepping duties.

Performs investigations by checking insect reports, locating areas where insects are reported, reporting findings to Production Supervisors and Sanitation, cleaning infested area and removing infested products.

Provides direction and leadership regarding production schedules, work assignments, equipment operation, shift reports, quality, food and human safety, GMPs, sanitation break/lunch administration, etc.

Provides break relief for all positions as needed.

Responsible for helping to lead meetings and communicating with other departments and all levels of associates/management.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carryout instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Work involves daily and frequent exposure to unusual elements, such as dirt, dust, fumes, odors, darkness and/or poor lighting, noise, and vibration. Seasonal exposure to weather elements to include, but not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness, and humidity.

Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks and hazards, such as working around mechanical equipment, mechanical hazards, forklifts, chemical hazards, electrical hazards, fire and explosives hazards, communicable diseases.

Position requires the ability to stand; walking around office, warehouse, and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; and reaching, kneeling, crawling, and twisting on a daily basis. Also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
