Job Summary
The Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of eight to ten Janitorial Agents and ensuring that all areas are serviced in a timely manner while complying with the company’s expectations, rules, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Ability to work in a teamwork environment and delegate tasks.
- Monitoring and assisting the team’s performance while leading and motivating them
- Interviewing applicants and training new hires
- Resolving customer/employee complaints
- Administration duties such as record keeping and paperwork.
- Ensure familiarity with all areas of the operation.
- Ability to complete assigned tasks on time while complying with the company’s expectations, rules, and procedures.
- Complete assigned tasks on time while complying with the company’s expectations, rules and procedures and handling hazardous and sometimes significantly unpleasant conditions.
- Mop floors, vacuum carpets, dust furniture, fixtures, ticket counter, podium, tops, fronts, sides, and stainless steel
- Clean bathrooms (male & female) remove garbage from receptacles and replenish all paper products.
- Wash sink, hardware, backsplash and clean/polish water cooler
- Strip and wax floors.
- Other duties may be assigned
Key Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in commercial cleaning
- Excellent organizational attitude
What you will need
- Must be able to speak and understand English
- Must be able to work safely in an environment containing caustic chemicals, cleaning materials, and noise
- Must have schedule flexibility for the weekend, holiday, and night shifts
- Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces
- Must be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods of time
- Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment
