The Night Auditor will oversee nightly operations, including auditing reports, managing guest ineractions, and ensuring accurate financial records. Responsibilities encompass reservations, customer service, and maintaining a secure environment, with a focus on anticipating and meeting guest needs.
Team Member Responsibilities:
- Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Management.
- Run audit reports/journals from the front office system, POS and computer.
- Input into the front office system revenue/expenses/allowances to generate the daily reports such as the guest ledger summary
- Balance all revenue settlement accounts nightly, maintain files and reset the system for next day operations.
- Engage all residents with an upbeat can-do attitude
- Responsible for completing daily shift reports.
- Responsible for accurate and timely information passed on to the next shift.
- Coordinating resident move-in and move-out materials
- Introduce property services and amenities to new arrivals and follow up with a warm call once the resident has settled into their suite.
- Creating and maintaining reservations in the system.
- Auditing reservations to ensure reservation accuracy and all residents’ requests are in order to their arrival.
- Answering outside phone calls and directing to the appropriate
- Promoting, selling and upselling the AKA brand to potential guests.
- Call, confirm and customize all resident reservation requests to exceed residents expectations during their stay
- Follow up with guests on housekeeping and/or maintenance requests once they have been completed
- Assist guests whenever possible (i.e. making dinner reservations, creating guidelines to local tourist attraction activities, contacting car service/taxi, etc.)
- Handling, logging, and communicating delivery of packages
- General knowledge of local dining, entertainment, and historical options
- Handle incoming calls for resident transfer, reservations, on-site management team.
- Provide a thorough and professional introduction to incoming leads via walk-in, referrals, etc.
- Provide a property tour and show room introductions.
- Relationship building with new and existing clients
- Maintains guest confidence by maintaining service levels; garnering “repeat” visits
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Enhances property reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to role accomplishments.
- Anticipate the needs of Guests and respond promptly and professional
- Other duties as assigned.
Desired Skills:
- Minimum of one to two years of Guest Service experience preferred.
- Demonstrated strong guest service skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated energetic, self-motivating and a “can do” positive attitude.
- Proficiency in English (written and oral).
Required Qualifications:
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Ability to be flexible with work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Skills Needed: Motivational, verbal communication, written communication and manageability.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs.
- Sits, stands, bends, stretches, lifts items and moves intermittently during working hours.
