Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Area Manager to oversee operations across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance in commercial settings. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to excellence in facilities management.
Duties
- Territory Oversight: Maintain full responsibility for the performance and condition of your assigned accounts, addressing cleaning, complaints, and project needs. Proactively schedule visits to ensure all 70+ accounts are inspected monthly.
- Customer Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through frequent and timely communication. Respond quickly to issues via phone, email, or in-person, and ensure customer satisfaction at all times.
- Quality Inspections: Conduct thorough quality inspections, paying close attention to detail, from cobwebs to dust behind trash cans. Identify and address areas needing improvement and input findings into cloud-based software.
- Issues Resolution: Provide rapid response and resolution to cleaning issues and concerns. Communicate with management for support when needed, ensuring proper coverage at all times.
- Sales: Promote and upsell additional building maintenance services (e.g., carpet cleaning, floor care, window washing). Leverage your sales skills to generate additional revenue and make commission through upsells and new business referrals.
Experience
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the cleaning or facilities maintenance industry is preferred.
- A high level of attention to detail is required for conducting thorough quality inspections.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques, including buffing and general upkeep of various surfaces is helpful.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively lead teams and interact with clients.
- Tech-savvy: Comfortable using cloud-based software, MS Excel, Outlook, and calendar management, must be comfortable using mobile devices, tablets, and laptops for work-related communications and reporting.
- Flexibility: Able to occasionally work non-traditional hours as needed to accommodate subcontractor or customer schedules. Punctuality and reliability are key.
- Physical Capability: Capable of walking long distances, climbing stairs, and inspecting multi-building campuses.
- Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred
