(DPR) Mobile Custodial Team is looking to hire two Recreation Center Custodians to help maintain the cleanliness of the department’s recreation centers. In this position you can expect to work on site at multiple recreation centers.
What You’ll Do
DPR provides and manages 30 neighborhood recreation centers that offer several amenities and hundreds of affordable programs throughout the year to the community. DPR’s Mobile Custodial Team is looking to hire two Recreation Center Custodians to help maintain the cleanliness of the department’s recreation centers. These positions will work 3:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.
What You’ll Do

DPR’s Mobile Custodial Team is looking to hire two Recreation Center Custodians to help maintain the cleanliness of the department’s recreation centers. These positions will work 3:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.
Specifically, as a Recreation Center Custodian you will:

Perform interior custodial duties including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and using mechanical floor cleaners to polish, buff, strip, and wax floors

Sanitize recreation facilities, ensuring a safe and clean center for customers and staff
-
Remove waste from work areas, gathering, and disposing of trash and waste which may contain hazardous materials
-
Clean and disinfect fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors, and walls including those in kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms, locker rooms, weight rooms, and other work areas

Clean bathrooms and locker rooms
-
Operate power washers on the interior and exterior of the center

High dusting exposed HVAC ducts and vents using a power lift
-
Perform other related duties as assigned or requested
What You’ll Bring
Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics:

A flexible work schedule

Knowledge of and/or previous custodial experience

Experience stripping and waxing floors

Strong attention to detail

Ability to self-manage

Knowledge of hazardous materials and waste, and their uses, interaction, dangers, handling, storage, and disposal
