Housekeeper Position Summary
A housekeeper carries out all cleaning duties as directed by the Environmental Services Director. Their role also includes the following responsibilities:
- Ensure the daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.
- Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
- Always adhere to infection control policies and use the correct PPE.
- Ensure all equipment is correctly and safely used and report any defects to the Environmental Services Director.
- Carries out other duties as assigned by the Environmental Services Director and/or Administrator.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
Housekeeper Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous long-term care experience preferred
