Roles And Responsibilities
- The Project Manager positions support the Office of the Commissioner. The IT Specialist and Data Analyst work across ANA and interact with ANA’s Training and Technical Assistance providers. These personnel shall be heavily engaged in research and analysis as well as event planning and other special projects for ANA. To be successful in this position, candidates must possess executive level, professional writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to write specialized and technical reports for various audiences, including ANA, ACF, HHS, Congress, and the general public. They should
also have excellent presentation skills with the ability to professionally represent ANA on committees and workgroups. They should possess state of the art information technology skills and be familiar with current business software.
Project Managers
Responsibilities
Responsible for managing projects and contract staff to effective completion of tasks and deliverables, help manage expenses, and ensure that contractor employees fulfill their duties and responsibilities. They shall ensure deliverables are delivered on-time, effectively communicate with stakeholders, the Contracting Officer Representative(s), Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, Senior Advisor/Chief of Staff, Program Managers. Further they shall document projects processes using project management tools and ensure top-quality results and project success. Knowledge Required for the Position:
- Mastery of advanced principles, concepts, regulations, and practices in the development of management of projects and program activities and initiatives pertaining to grant management and administration, information technology systems, and legislative matters to support management integrity and federal goals and objectives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the role and responsibilities associated with program and project management for Agency wide large-scale initiatives.
- Knowledge and experience in federal grants administration, including grant-related statutes, regulations, and policies as well as the operations, information systems and procedures that involve the grant award life cycle.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. 30
- The knowledge and ability to lead, conduct and direct special programs, high-level and cross-cutting projects and initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with senior level officials, both within and outside of the Agency, to resolve issues and provide accurate and insightful advisory services.
- Knowledge of the Federal Government’s Government to-Government relationship with Tribal governments.
- Experience in working on Native American issues or working with other minority and social and economically disadvantaged communities; and
- Skill to research, analyze, and interpret federal business requirements and communicate advice and assistance to contractual employees and federal senior management and implement such requirements; review established procedures and written instructions to identify needed changes for complying with ANA and generally accepted business
