Controlling Factors and Responsibilities: This is a steady pace job that requires paying attention to and learning all aspects of the tray feeding, washing and drying operations and operating a high-speed corrugated tray former when running product requiring cardboard formed trays. Utilizing a combination of observation and 'hands-on experience' will assist in the learning of this operation.
Controlling Factors and Responsibilities Continued: Some of these factors are:
Unload trays from trailers and sort by color
Understanding and operating the tray denester control panel
Keeping the tray magazine always stocked with full stacks of trays when running plastic trays
Being able to recognize and clear minor tray jams
Understanding the tray washer/dryer control panel
Removing broken trays from the line after denesting and storing them in designated areas (DO NOT block white painted inspection aisles)
Being able to transport trays from the production area, if necessary, by using the clamp lift
Understanding and operating the tray former control panel
Keeping the tray former stocked with flat corrugated when running corrugated trays
Keeping the tray former glue reservoir always filled when running corrugated Promptly relaying any equipment or safety issues to the supervisor and/or maintenance department by using the radio
Proper maintenance of your area using dust mops, brooms, and cleaning supplies
Observing and complying with all posted GMP's, both plant wide and job specific
Physical Job Requirements:
Bending/Stooping, Standing and walking for extended periods of time • Reaching above head as well as ability to push/pull up to 300 Pounds e Exposure to inclement temperatures, and ability to go from hot to cold. (Bakery around 90 Degrees and Freezer around 0 Degrees)
