Welcome to Three Birds Cafe. We are excited that you're here! As our team is growing we are currently looking to hire 1 to 3 line cooks and prep cooks as busy season arrives.
The skills that we are looking in this position are (but not limited to):
- Line cooks must possess basic cooking skills.
- They must also understand how to use a variety of food service equipment, including knives, pots and pans, ovens and grills, food processors and slicers.
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
- Previous prep or line cook experience.
- Ability to take direction. ▪ Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized.
- Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
The tasks and responsibilities that we are looking to fill in this position are (but not limited to):
- Line cooks are responsible for preparing assigned food items. They must follow the recipes and the portion control guidelines set by the food establishment.
- Line cooks are responsible for setting up their stations and restocking items.
- Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
- Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
- Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skills.
- Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in station.
- Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
- Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by the Shift Lead and/or General Manager at any time.
Working conditions:
- This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
- Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
- The individual must be able to transport up to 30 pounds on occasion and up to 15 pounds regularly.
- As our kitchen is split between the front and back there will be a lot of back and forth between both.
Our business existence is dependent on how well we meet our responsibilities. Your first responsibility is to our guests. We must appeal to a broad spectrum of consumers and provide our services in a professional manner to satisfy the customer’s needs.
We are currently open Tuesday - Thursdays 8:30 a.m - 7:30 p.m, Fridays 8:30 a.m - 8 p.m, Saturdays 8:30 a.m - 8 p.m, and Sundays 8:30 a.m - 6 p.m. We are currently closed on Mondays though with a fully trained staff we are looking to open 7 days a week. We are closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.

Pay: $13.00 - $18.00 per hour
