Job Description
Florida PPE Services is looking for a Cleaning and Inspecting Associate to help clean and inspect firefighter turnout gear. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and be a team player. We are looking for someone who is punctual, reliable, and dependable. This job can be physically demanding requiring heavy lifting and standing.
Responsibilities Include:
- Checking in gear including creating work orders, disassembling gear, and tagging items.
- Cleaning gear including assessing garments, performing cleaning procedures in accordance with company standards and industry requirements, and recording work performed.
- Inspecting gear for cleanliness and damage including performing testing procedures, identifying necessary repairs, completing inspection forms, and inputting data into software system.
- Preparing gear for return to customer including packing gear, processing shipments, and printing out final work order.
- Picking up and delivering gear to the customer utilizing our delivery van.
- Completing work in a safe manner, adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school education or GED required.
- The ability to apply critical thinking to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal or diagram form.
- Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Strong communication skills.
- Dependable transportation.
- Clean driving record.
- Willing to work full-time weekdays, overtime and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to frequently lift 50 lbs and move heavy materials with the aid of equipment.
- Must have basic computer knowledge and skills.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
