Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is looking for a Director of Field Environmental Operations. As the Director of Field Environmental Operations, you will manage all field activities, including the deployment of crews, the allocation of equipment, and the execution of projects. This role ensures that field teams meet project timelines, stay within budget, and deliver high-quality results. The Director of Field Environmental Operations is also responsible for ensuring safety standards and regulatory compliance on every job site.

Global provides heavy industrial cleaning services to utilities, phosphate/ mining, chemical plants, pulp & paper, and manufacturing facilities with specialization in hydro blasting and vacuum truck work. We provide customized solutions for sulfuric acid facilities, including preventative maintenance and repairs and full turn-key turnaround services. We also offer a variety of waste processing and handling services to ensure that waste generated from client sites, is collected, transported, and disposed of by local, state, and federal regulations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee the operations of the day-to-day projects.
- Coordinate work schedules/manpower needs.
- Complete and oversee the annual and 90-day “new hire” reviews of associates of the district.
- Complete administrative tasks such as documenting attendance, customer requests, job packs, project coordination, and status reports.
- Communicates and reviews disciplinary practices to supervisors and staff to ensure consistency.
- Communicates with subordinates regarding safety, operations, and human resources.
- Coordinates with Fleet to maintain our equipment and manages staff to keep vehicles clean.
- Submits requisition forms to the VP of Environmental Operations for approval of capital and overhead (non-inventory) purchases.
- Manages the image of our staff by enforcing our uniform dress code.
- Recruit/Interview staff.
- Manage inventory supplies.
- Manage and approve payroll.
- Ensure the retention of quality employees and provide training necessary for career development.
- Order and Manage inventory supplies.
- Control and manage the cost of operations.
- Ensures the completion and quality of all tasks performed by staff.
- Follow OSHA guidelines and Global safety standards (as detailed in RAVS).
- Grow relationships with customers and vendors.
- Provide job estimates as needed.
- Issue per diem as needed.
- Inform employees of job duties and expectations.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Schedule manpower with customers’ needs.
- Works with team to complete assigned tasks.
- Prepares and submits weekly utilization reports to the VP of Environmental Operations.
- Prepares status/performance updates to present at weekly operations meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 15 years of experience managing and scheduling employees to perform environmental services and remediation.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and be able to interface with employees at all levels of the company. Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
