Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning tasks and a commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing to maintain polished surfaces.
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness in facilities by emptying trash bins, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies.
- Assist with custodial duties including window washing, carpet cleaning, and general upkeep of the facility.
- Support facilities maintenance efforts by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
- Occasionally assist with maintenance projects as required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while performing all cleaning tasks.
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning and custodial services is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and waxing.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning practices and equipment.
- Ability to clean and maintain various types of facilities effectively.
- Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus.
- Basic skills in residential painting are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing time efficiently.
