Oakwell Beer Spa is seeking a charismatic and detail-oriented Server & Spa Attendant (aka ‘Beer Therapists’) with a passion for hospitality to join our day spa/craft beer bar in Denver, CO. As a Server & Spa Attendant, you will be responsible for guiding guests through their end-to-end spa experience. This includes checking guests in for their appointments, facilitating beverage tastings at our tapwall, escorting guests to their private spa suites, and checking guests out when they leave. As the face of our business, you will be responsible for creating a positive, upbeat atmosphere to ensure our guests have an unforgettable experience.

What is Oakwell Beer Spa? We are a one-of-a-kind wellness experience that combines a day spa and a taproom into one. Our 4,000SF facility includes a self-pour taproom, featuring local beer, wine, and cider. After relaxing in our taproom, guests can enjoy a private spa suite where they will unwind in their own infrared sauna, rain shower, and hops & barley-infused bath, all with a cold drink in hand. The cherry on top is our Zero Gravity Massage Chair experience that offers all the relaxation of a traditional massage, without the human-to-human interaction.
Oakwell Beer Spa is open seven days a week, from 8am to 10pm. Since our grand opening, we have been fully booked, with our private spa suites booking out 4 to 6 weeks in advance. With 15% repeat guests and a large social media following, we have been nominated as Denver’s Top Day Spa multiple years in a row. We were also featured in Time Magazine’s 100 Greatest Places in the World!
SERVER & SPA ATTENDANT ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Server & Spa Attendant, your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Welcoming and acknowledging guests with a verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible, and a polite farewell upon guest’s departure
- Checking ID’s to ensure guests are of legal drinking age
- Leveraging knowledge of local, craft beer to suggest alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options
- Actively listening and responding positively to guest’s questions and requests
- Building rapport with guests throughout their experience in a fun, yet professional manner
- Anticipating guests’ needs and proactively acting on them wherever possible
- Answering questions about general facility information, spa amenities, and therapy benefits
- Providing general spa orientation to guests upon arrival, including the use of the beer wall, the location of the restrooms, and proper safety guidelines
- Monitoring and ensuring guests adherence to a strict daily appointment schedule
- Following all company policies to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment
- Folding and restocking linens, replenishing retail shelves, and restocking beverage refrigerators
- Educating guests on the therapeutic benefits of hops, barley, and medicinal herbs
- Assisting spakeepers in cleaning and prepping the private spa suites, including removal of used linens
- Ensuring sidework is completed in a timely manner, including laundry and glassware cleaning
- Answering phone calls and text messages in a friendly and professional manner
- Skillfully navigating our online booking system to make and modify guest reservations
- Processing transactions using our POS
- Providing assistance to individuals with disabilities, including visual, hearing, and physical impairments
SERVER & SPA ATTENDANT QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience working in a guest-facing role in a full-service restaurant, day spa, or boutique hotel (experience in fine dining or an upscale environment is preferred
- Upbeat, enthusiastic, and charismatic demeanor
- Enjoys following policies & procedures, while having the flexibility to build meaningful connections with guests
- Possesses a strong work ethic, respect for timeliness, and polished professionalism
- Detail-oriented alongside the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must possess valid U.S. work authorization
- Must be available to work 40 hours (five x 8 hour shifts) per week - weekend, night & holiday availability is required!
- We do not have any requirements for formal education or training – we are just looking for someone with a positive attitude and the aptitude to learn!

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Pay: All employees earn a base hourly wage, plus tips, which averages out to $25-$35/hr. We pay on a weekly basis!
Benefits: All full-time employees are eligible for health insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance, in addition to Paid Time Off (PTO) and a 401(k) with employer matching! We host quarterly employee appreciation events, ranging from bowling to catered dinners. Each year, all employees receive a Complimentary Beer Therapy Experience for two, in addition to a 20% discount on retail products and spa services.
