Lily of the Desert Nutraceuticals, has immediate openings on both 1st and 2nd shifts for Blenders, Compounders and Blending Assistants at our state-of-the-art production facility conveniently located off Corporate Drive in Lewisville. LODN is a premier manufacturer specializing in both co-packing and private label production in the food/beverage/pharmaceutical industries, and our blending operators are an integral part of the business.
With a focus on food production and manufacturing, the Blender/Mixer role requires expertise in proper mixing of food products, sanitation, and compliance with HACCP and CGMP standards. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in blending of bulk product and specialty ingredients, preferably in the food & beverage, pharmaceutical or cosmetics production environment.
Our operation runs a schedule of either 10- or 12-hour workdays, determined by line/product assignment. 1st shift begins at 5:00 or 6:00am, 2nd shift begins at 4:30pm or 5:00pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee blending operations, ensuring product count and/or weight of designated product is accurate
- Maintain acceptable sanitary and safe conditions at all times
- Strictly Follow SOP's, GMP's and company protocol relative to operations at all times
- Machine set-up including all necessary ingredients for blending according to schedule to ensure availability of product
- Facilitate product changeovers, machine cleaning and general maintenance
- Maintain proper documentation and record keeping
- Communicate effectively with management and other departmental personnel
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years blending/mixing or compounding in a manufacturing environment
- Highly motivated and able to work both independently or as part of a team
- Communication skills which include the ability to read, write and speak English.
- General math skills
- History of good attendance and adherence to safety regulations
- Ability to walk, stand, sit and move about the facility and lift up to 50 lbs.
