Job Summary:The role of Spa/Pool Common Area Attendant is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of pool guests, as well as handing out towels, ensuring that guests adhere to all safety rules, renting pool equipment, and serving as a backup lifeguard if necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
- Setting up umbrellas, loungers, and other pool furniture.
- Ensuring that the swimming pool, furniture, and facilities are clean and safe.
- Welcoming guests and ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Providing guests with towels, shade, refreshments, and attending to their requests.
- Clearing used towels, glasses, and trash.
- Enforcing safety protocols as set out by the resort or hotel.
- Monitoring the activity of guests and ensuring their safety.
- Reporting any damages or incidences to the supervisor.
- Completing some houseperson duties.
- Assisting with any reasonable requests and performing other duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
- Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests.
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English preferred
- Previous experience in Hospitality preferred

Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, kneeling, walking, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time
Working Conditions:
- Indoor and outdoor
- Exposure to hazardous chemicals (with PPE)
- Exposure to extreme heat and cold depending on season
- Potential exposure to naturally occurring environmental factors such as wind, rain, red tide, etc.
- Exposure to slippery surfaces
- Possible exposure to bodily waste
- Possible exposure to a somewhat noisy environment
