We are growing and have created a new Facility Custodian Janitor role. You will be responsible of keeping our manufacturing facility clean and organized to keep our Machine Operators safe. Focus will be industrial dust and cleaning, trash removal and pick-up, and other points of cleaning and inspection inside and outside the building. You will work independently and have a detailed calendar and schedule to follow.
Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00/hour, depending on experience
Core Contributions:
- Operate a floor sweeper to do routine and non-routine cleaning, keeping our machines safe. Follow a schedule for all areas of the plant, including aisles.
- Oversee the vacuuming and dust mitigation control efforts.
- Flat surfaces in the facility that routinely build up and hold dust
- Internal walls and structures along the walls
- Block walls and block material bins
- Cabinets and equipment
- Guard railing and other protective structures
- Guard railing
- Fire extinguishers
- Be a part of our efforts to maintain a safe and clean work environment inside and outside the building.
- Facility chemical storage areas
- Outside chemical and spill mitigation areas
- Propane storage areas. Assure good housekeeping
- Forklift battery charging parking lot areas
- Monitor the property, clean up trash and watch for other potential issues that could negatively impact our environment.
- Miscellaneous cleaning and organizational tasks such as window washing, inventory storage areas, product material, storage racking, bulletin boards and other community areas.

Essential Experiences:
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Previous Machine Operator experience preferred
- Previous forklift experience and or ability to learn

- Proven ability to multitask in a stressful environment (dirty, strict timelines, etc.), attention to detail, and adapt to changing demands
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Ability to comprehend and follow scheduled and calendar notifications
- Read and understand units of measure
- Demonstrated comfort with data entry and basic computer skills; ERP experience preferred
- Must be safety conscious and carry out work responsibilities in a safe manner
- Must be able to work overtime to meet operational requirements if needed
- Able to safely perform related physical requirements/demands of the role
