Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our facilities team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all users.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting, to maintain a clean and tidy facility.
- Use industrial cleaning equipment and supplies to clean high-traffic areas and floors.
- Use buffing equipment to maintain the shine on floors and surfaces.
- Conduct deep cleaning tasks, including cleaning of bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas as needed.
- Maintain the cleanliness of all facilities, including offices, break rooms, and restrooms.
- Perform porter duties, including emptying trash cans and restocking supplies.
- Assist with special events and projects as needed.
- Perform residential painting tasks as required.
- Maintain equipment and supplies, reporting any malfunctions or needed maintenance to the facilities team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in custodial or facilities maintenance is preferred.
- Must have three to six months of training or experience, or be capable of learning to perform the essential functions. Must be able to pass security clearance for designated contracts.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized facility.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and adhere to safety protocols.
