Job Summary: The Orlando Regional REALTOR Association is seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitorial Worker to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks to ensure our building remains in pristine condition. This role is essential to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Cleaning:
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas of the building.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
- Restock restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Trash Removal:
- Empty all trash bins throughout the facility and properly dispose of waste.
- Recycle materials according to the facility’s guidelines.
- Surface Cleaning:
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, counters, and windowsills.
- Clean glass doors, windows, and mirrors.
- Common Areas Maintenance:
- Ensure that common areas such as break rooms, lobbies, and corridors are clean and tidy.
- Restock supplies in common areas as needed.
- Incident Response:
- Promptly clean up spills and other accidents to maintain safety and hygiene.
- Minor Maintenance:
- Report any maintenance issues such as broken fixtures, leaks, or lighting problems.
- Perform light maintenance tasks as needed (e.g., replacing light bulbs).
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and report the need for cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Assist in the ordering and restocking of janitorial supplies.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in janitorial or custodial work is preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate basic cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor buffers.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean environment.
- Good physical condition, with the ability to lift heavy objects, bend, and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
Work Environment:
- This role involves working in various areas of the building, including restrooms, offices, and common spaces.
- Work may involve exposure to cleaning chemicals, and personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided as necessary.
- The position may require occasional evening or weekend shifts, depending on the facility’s needs.
