Job Summary
YTC America Inc. (YTCA), the North American corporate research and development center of Yazaki Corporation, Japan is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to fill the Cleaner position within its Facilities Group.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Department Head, Facilities and Engineering, the individual will be a member of the Facilities staff and will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day upkeep of the facility’s cleanliness based on a schedule of 20 hours per week.

The duties include:

· Sweeping, mopping, dusting, removing cobwebs, and vacuuming.

· Cleanliness of restrooms and replenishing paper and soap supplies.

· Maintaining break and lunchroom cleanliness that includes appliances.

· Keeping the exercise room and shower rooms clean.

· Proper handling of waste disposal and recycling duties.

· Cleaning windows, patio doors, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.

· Maintaining lobby, meeting rooms, and employee workspaces.

· Ensure all areas are sanitized and disinfected as needed.

· Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and following manufacturer's instructions.

· Maintaining cleaning supplies and submitting requests to replenish inventory.

· Reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate management staff.

· Additional facility cleaning duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements
The following skills are required:

· High school diploma or GED required.

· Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an industrial facilities operation preferred.

· Commercial cleaning.

· Floor care including buffing.

· Familiarity with custodial duties and industrial cleaning practices.

· Attention to detail and ability to work independently and efficiently.

· Safe usage of cleaning supplies and equipment.

· Basic computer knowledge and Microsoft Office applications.

· Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with Facilities team and staff members.

· Ability to spend extended time walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs and step stools, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 - YTCA considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, total compensation and a candidate’s qualifications, key skills, work experience, education, and training.
