General Description:
Washes dishes, utensils, and equipment in a safe and sanitary manner. Assists with other cleaning duties as assigned.

Duties:

Follows all safety and sanitation rules and procedures.

Properly washes and stores dishes, utensils, and glassware assuring dishes are washed at the correct temperature with the correct chemicals.

Properly washes pots and pans and other kitchen utensils assuring all items are washed at the correct temperature with the correct chemicals.

Assures the dishwasher is functioning properly and reports any problems to the Head Cook and/or Food Service Supervisor.

Empties and clean kitchen trash receptacles. Keeps the loading dock and dumpsters clean.

Cleans serving carts at trays after each meal.

Assists the cook in keeping the kitchen in a clean and sanitary manner at all times including the freezers, refrigerators, and dry storage areas.

Cleans and polishes stainless steel surfaces.

Cleans filters in the range hood weekly.

Completes other cleaning duties as assigned.
- Reports any incidents to the Food Service Director.
- Attends and participates in committees, training programs and staff meetings.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Ability and Experience requirements:

Must have criminal record clearance.

Must be at least 16 years of age
