Job Summary
As an acting member of Waterdrops Express Car Wash, the Wash Attendant/Cleaning Crew performs the daily operational practices of running the car wash facility. However, the position may require cross-training sometimes. Wash Attendants/Cleaning crew can also help on the kiosk/POS section upon the request of the manager on shift. Attendants ensure that each customer consistently receives a clean, dry, and shiny vehicle and that the facility stays organized and clean throughout the week. Wash Attendants should possess a positive, friendly, and motivated attitude toward co-workers and customers. Wash Attendants are also responsible for maintaining the store's image and answering customer inquiries.
Education and Experience

- Work Setting - The position requires average amounts of physical activity in an outdoor car wash setting.
- Environmental Conditions - Potential exposure to car wash chemicals and incoming and outgoing traffic throughout the day. Conditions are hazardous, and the position requires candidates to be alert at all times. Candidates must follow our safety policy for PPE use, as some conditions may be hazardous.
- Job Hazards-Must adhere to all safety rules, policies, and regulations in relationship to OSHA and Waterdrops Equipment standards (including but not limited to Chemical Exposure, Slip/trips/falls, Sprains & Strains Electrical Hazard, Vehicle Movement, Machinery/Equipment Exposure, Heat Exposure)
- Body Positioning- Ability to intermittently and repeatedly bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull, or do fine manipulations, climb ladders, and stand for prolonged periods. Ability to lift or move items of light to heavy weight, up to 25 lbs occasionally.

- Work Attire -The position requires a uniform including black or khaki pants, a company-provided blue polo shirt, non-slip shoes, and a company-provided name tag and access card.
- Routine versus Challenging Work-Position is fast-paced at times and involves work that is dependent on the weather.
- Pace and Scheduling - The position requires flexible availability. Weekend and holiday availability is also required. This can be subject to change and work schedules may be altered by the Store Manager to meet business needs.
Primary Job Duties
- Greet customers entering the establishment. We take pride in ensuring that every customer feels welcomed and satisfied with their time spent with us. SMILE and BE KIND!
- Guide cars into the wash area with a focused, pleasant, and competent demeanor.
- Must perform a visual inspection of the vehicle before entering the tunnel.
- Never leave your post unattended or without informing the manager on shift.
- Scrub heavily soiled and hard-to-reach areas of vehicles, and pre-wash exterior areas of cars with the correct equipment provided by the manager on shift. Very important if the car is super dirty!
- Regularly clean and maintain facility and equipment, as well as throughout the outside portion of the establishment, and ensure everything is kept in the appropriate place and organized.
- Spraying/Scrubbing down walls. (no gunk or build-up should be found)
- Washing location windows / removing any water deposits or buildup
- Cleaning all brushes
- Emptying/cleaning trash cans
- Cleaning floors
- Sweeping out the parking lot
- Power wash the parking lot
- Pick up any trash on the floor
- Scrub and Rinse Arches and Protective Skin of Equipment (site should look like new!)
- Clean blowers every night
- Cleaning out trench
- Empty out vacuums and outside vacuum drops and brush the separators thoroughly
- Install or take down vacuum hoses at the beginning or end of the day
- Perform regular visual inspections of all equipment and report immediate concerns to the Store Manager.
- Perform preventative maintenance on car wash equipment, inspect parts or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations, and report any malfunctions to Store Manager or manager on shift.
- Keep vacuums unclogged and hoses hung properly.
- As addressed in our handbook, cell phone usage, earphones, or other electronics are not allowed while on the clock as this can cause distraction and lead to mistakes and incidents.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
