Woodgrain Bagels is a bagel and coffee shop in Denver (Lowry).
We are hiring a Line/Prep Cook for weekends, Saturday and Sunday 6-8 hours shifts.
We are open 7-2 daily, no nights ever! The opener would need to be able to get to the shop for 6:30 and closer stays until 3.
We specialize in breakfast and lunch sandwiches on hand-rolled wood-fired Montreal-style bagels for the community of Denver and Boulder. If you haven't been in, check out our website (woodgrainbagels.com) and our Instagram (@woodgrainbagels)!
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Prep/knife skills
- Preparing breakfast and lunch sandwiches in a timely manner
- Ability to read kitchen tickets (printed in English)
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Cover, date, and correctly store all food items as per safe food-handling procedures
- Close the kitchen and follow the closing checklist for kitchen stations
- Maintain excellent working relationships with staff, guests, and supervisor
Skills
- Being on time and reliable
- Reliable transportation
- Able to work as a team, but also independently
- Multitasking
- Enjoying line work, prepping, and cleaning tasks
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
- Kitchen/knife skills are not required, but preferred
Employees receive a share of the tip pool, we cover 50% of full-time employees health insurance costs, employees get a free meal each shift, and 50% food on their days off.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.50 - $20.50 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week
