Job Description
Our Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance operations within the airport. This role involves managing a team of janitorial staff, scheduling cleaning tasks, and ensuring that all areas of the airport, including terminals, lounges, restrooms, and public spaces, meet cleanliness and hygiene standards. You will ensure that the team adheres to safety protocols and efficiently uses cleaning equipment and products. Additionally, you are responsible for training staff, managing inventory of cleaning supplies, and coordinating with other departments for any special cleaning projects or requirements.

- Monitor and evaluate the performance of janitorial staff, providing feedback and coaching

- Like to build long term relationships with your customers
- Physical activity may include:
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 70 pounds or more
- Be able to hear and respond to the spoken voice and to audible alarms generated by terminal environment
- Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors); Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years old
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language, to include documents
- 3 years of experience in janitorial or cleaning services, with prior supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and health and safety standards
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills to manage and motivate a team
- Ability to create and manage cleaning schedules and tasks effectively
- Good communication skills for liaising with staff and other departments
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and supervise a team
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Comfortable working with computers, mobile devices, and tablets
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
Compensation:
The pay rate $21.29/hr listed on this post is what the company reasonably expects to pay for this position. However, individual compensation may vary based on factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, education, and experience.
