Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring a clean, orderly, and attractive environment for our guests and staff. In addition to supervisory duties, this individual will assist with laundry and room cleaning as needed. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
Supervision and Training:
- Oversee the work activities of housekeeping staff to ensure that rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are clean and well-maintained.
- Train new housekeeping employees in proper cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Conduct regular training sessions and performance reviews to maintain high service standards and motivate staff.
Quality Control:
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas after cleaning to ensure adherence to cleanliness standards.
- Address and resolve any issues or complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and efficiently.
- Implement and maintain housekeeping checklists and standard operating procedures.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities, and place orders as needed.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of cleaning supplies and equipment.
Scheduling and Coordination:
- Develop and maintain housekeeping staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak times.
- Coordinate with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to address any housekeeping-related issues or special requests.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and training sessions to promote a safe working environment.
