Job Description: Custodial Care Technician
Position Title: Custodial Care Technician
Department: Home Health Services
Reports To: Employee Growth and Protection Manager
Location: Various client homes within the service area
Hourly Rate: $22
Position Overview:
First Line Health LLC is seeking compassionate and dedicated Custodial Care Technicians to provide non-medical support to seniors in their homes. This role focuses on assisting with household tasks, meal preparation, and transportation to medical appointments. All clients are able to complete Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- House Cleaning:
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, laundry, and dishwashing.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for clients.
- Meal Preparation:
- Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals according to the dietary needs and preferences of the clients.
- Ensure proper food safety and hygiene practices are followed.
- Transportation Assistance:
- Assist clients with scheduling and attending doctor's appointments, including transportation to and from medical facilities.
- Ensure client safety during transport and provide assistance as needed.
- Companionship:
- Provide friendly companionship and engage clients in conversation, recreational activities, and hobbies.
- Encourage social interaction and support emotional well-being.
- Client Interaction and Communication:
- Communicate effectively and respectfully with clients, their families, and other healthcare providers.
- Maintain confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policies.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner, including service logs and client notes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Prior experience in caregiving, custodial care, or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Requirements:
- Must pass a comprehensive background check, drug test, and interview process.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with cleaning and meal preparation.
- Personal Attributes: Compassionate, patient, trustworthy, and reliable.
Working Conditions:
- Environment: Work is performed in client homes, with varying conditions and levels of need.
- Schedule: Flexible hours, including potential evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry light objects, perform repetitive tasks, and assist with mobility as needed.
