The "DSP" in our name stands for Delivery Service Partner, and our partnership is with Amazon Logistics. We are a contracted third party supplying last mile package delivery service to Amazon in order to support the unyielding customer obsession that brings hundreds of thousands of packages to delighted customers each and every day, 361 days a year.
"A day in the life" of the Delivery Associate role looks something like this:
- Report to the delivery station/offsite parking lot for scheduled shift
- Conduct standup with team to stretch and discuss safety, quality, execution and announcements
- Conduct a pre-trip inspection of cargo van delivery vehicle and log/rectify findings
- Drive assigned vehicle into staging area at delivery station
- Load staged packages into vehicle and arrange in order of delivery route
- Depart station and execute delivery route (100-300 packages in residential, commercial and industrial areas)
- Accurately complete and log each delivery with smart phone device and delivery application, snapping a photo and paying special attention to customer instructions.
- Report any and all delivery exceptions and/or barriers to route execution to supervisor
- Return to station to hand off any undelivered packages to station management (always strive to come back empty-handed!)
- Return vehicle to parking area, either on- or off-site
Additional duties may include:
- Conducting "rescue routes" when our teammates are struggling to deliver everything on time (this is where you drive to their location and take on some of their work)
- Fueling up your delivery vehicle at an approved fuel station
- Being trained in administrative functions of the business
- Assisting either directly or indirectly in cleaning or maintaining the vehicles in our fleet
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Able to move, position, transport, manipulate and remove objects up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ascend and descend in and out of a delivery vehicle repeatedly (20 times or more per hour) for 8-10 hours a day.
- 21 years of age or older
- Read, write, speak and understand instructions in the English language
- Possess valid driver's license with safe driving history (CDL not required but appreciated)
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States
