Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and other common areas
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to disposal areas
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Perform floor care duties including buffing, waxing, and polishing
- Assist with setting up rooms for meetings or events
- Notify management of any repairs or maintenance required
Requirements:
experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or facilities maintenance
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers and floor scrubbers
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions closely
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when necessary
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within designated timeframesDaily:
- Open all Laundry Rooms: clean; take out trash; sweep and/or mop floors; wipe down machines, wash basins and folding tables. Re-check laundry rooms throughout day (3x’s min)
- Check dumpsters / pick up trash and maintain as needed.
- Check pool areas for trash / blow out leaves if necessary / clean and wipe down tables/chairs / straighten furniture as needed.
- Walk / Drive property, parking lots and lake to pick up trash / fallen branches; check landscape beds for trash / branches.
- Check bathrooms in clubhouse & pool area, empty trash / check toilet paper / paper towels fill as necessary / clean restrooms and showers, steam rooms, clubhouse, billiard, and exercise center as needed (min 1x week)
Weekly
- Clean lint areas of each laundry room min 1x week
- Check recycling bins and power wash as needed.
- Vacuum and clean the clubhouse as needed.
- Accompany pest control service into units and as needed for call backs.
Monthly:
- Check & clean / vacuum behind washers / dryers in laundry rooms as needed.
- Check for broken or missing spindles on balconies; replace / repair as needed.
- Check staircases for loose steps, slip strips.
- Trim any low hanging palm branches / tree limbs on HLV property.
- Rake fence along back of tennis court
- Check for wasp nests around units eradicate as needed.
- Check entryways to each building clean cobwebs / power wash mud dauber nests as needed.
- Check & power wash walkways into buildings and community as needed.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.41 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week
