Who We Are
Stella represents an expression of artistry across the mediums of cuisine, art and design. Italian for ‘star’, Stella is inspired by the traditions of the traveling hearth of the coastal and pastoral communities of Southern, Central and Northern Italy, enriched with local California, seasonal ingredients.
A creative collaboration between restaurateur, Janet Zuccarini, and Executive Chef Rob Gentile, Stella brings modern twists on age-old Italian culinary traditions to West Hollywood.
The Role
Prepare station for service
- Washing machine and tools in place and cleaning chemicals filled
- Attend business pre-shift to better understand the day’s business
Through Service
- Continue to stock cleaning tools and supplies. Changing water in machine etc.
- Ensure business maintenance is continued through service. This means dishes are always matched with same and items are washed in a timely manner
- Communicate with sous chef team to having all clean dishes to be used in service
- Consistently follow and complete prep lists according to company guidelines
- Label products accurately and follow First In First Out when managing storage
Perform duties in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration
- Sanitize work stations
- Regular hand washing
- Comfortable with chemical safety procedures
Station clean up and breakdown
- Disposing of waste & recycling
- Sweep and mop
- Clean all surfaces on station
- Ensures Safe Food Handling in being enforced
- Ensures all service team members are Smart Serve Certified
- Manages in compliance with harassment, workplace violence, and inclusivity policies
Who You Are
The right person for this role has a strong hospitality leadership background and prioritizes both guest and team member experience aligned with our mission of creating transporting experiences. The ideal candidate is equal parts people and process-driven with an aptitude for creating efficiencies at all levels of the business.
Preference will be given to those who possess:
- Similar restaurant service experience
- Proficient in full-service restaurant functions
- Strong Communication skills
- Strategic and Innovative Thinker
- Valid California RBS and ServSafe Food Handler Certifications
- Valid First Aid & OSHA Management Training an asset
- Passionate, Positive, and Approachable
