Roles And Responsibilities
- The Project Consultants positions support the Office of the Commissioner. The IT Specialist and Data Analyst work across ANA and interact with ANA’s Training and Technical Assistance providers. These personnel shall be heavily engaged in research and analysis as well as event planning and other special projects for ANA. To be successful in this position, candidates must possess executive level, professional writing and verbal communication skills with the ability to write specialized and technical reports for various audiences, including ANA, ACF, HHS, Congress, and the general public. They should
also have excellent presentation skills with the ability to professionally represent ANA on committees and workgroups. They should possess state of the art information technology skills and be familiar with current business software.
Project Consultants
This position assists the ANA Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, the Senior Advisor/Chief of Staff, and Program Directors with operational, strategic, and technical expertise to fulfill ANA’s Native American Affairs policy and program administrative responsibilities. Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develops and managers project plans, applies resources to project tasks, and submits project progress/updates to ANA managers.
- Provide assistance and recommendations in the design of new programs and enhancement of existing programs.
- Works with ANA managers to determine project parameters, develop project plans in line with ANA’s strategic objectives and resources.
- Monitors the progress of each project stage and facilitate necessary actions to achieve desirable results.
- Develops and presents analyses, recommendations, and options papers for senior level decision makers.
- Research and provide critical analysis on specific issues related to the ANA mission and initiatives.
- Provide assistance and recommendations in the design of new programs and enhancement of existing programs.
- Works on Native American issues, or work with other minority and social and economically disadvantaged communities; and
- Collaborates across ACF and other stakeholders to set realistic project targets and timeframes. Knowledge Required for the Position:
