Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Deep Clean Technician is tasked with cleaning that goes beyond the normal daily cleaning and scrubbing operations. You will report to the EVS or Pool Supervisors, Shift Managers, or EVS Manager on duty.
$15.00 Hourly - Shift differential possible depending on the shift you work.
Primary Tasks:
1. You will operate industrial cleaning equipment: Floor Scrubbers, shampooers, vacuums, power washes, sweepers, buffers, steam cleaners, escalator cleaners, and single- and two-person lifts.
2. Perform heavy duty cleaning such as cleaning floors or deck areas, washing walls, cleaning fabrics (rugs, cushions, carpets, etc.), washing walls, and removing rubbish.
3. You will repair of cleaning equipment, tools, and lift.
4. Follow approved cleaning practices with proper chemicals within MSDS guidelines.
5. High Work: remove dust and cobwebs from vents, ceiling tiles, signs, ledges, fixtures, windows, wall hangings, and light fixtures. This often involves working overhead and operating a scissor lift or ladder to access inaccessible areas, usually at heights of 40+ feet.
6. Floor Maintenance: cleaning and removing stains from fabric, cushions, and carpet; shampooing, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors using brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and buffing machines.
Standard Cleaning: windows, doors, walls, ceilings, closets, and fixtures in rooms, public areas, and hallways, often using ladders or stools to clean hard to reach areas, to maintain a clean, presentable, and attractive facility.
8. You will polish metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings.
9. Answer or direct customer or public inquiries to the appropriate department and take immediate initiative to clean or correct problem areas.
10. Other duties may be assigned.
Job Requirements:
MINIMUM
- Knowledge of the chemical composition, structure, and properties of substances and of the chemical processes and transformations they undergo (includes uses of chemicals and their interactions, danger signs, production techniques, and disposal methods)
- Knowledge of cleaning machines and tools, including their designs, uses, basic maintenance
- General knowledge of cleaning requirements in the hospitality industry
- Understand government public health regulations
- Prior Environmental Services/Housekeeping Experience.
