The
Housekeeping Room Inspector at
American Airlines - The Landing at Skyview 6 is responsible for supervising, directing, assisting and ensuring the completion of housekeeping tasks assigned to room attendants & housepersons in guest rooms and corridors.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that all room attendant carts are stocked with proper supplies.
- Ensures that all equipment is distributed to housepersons and maintained in proper operating order.
- Ensures that all linen closets are stocked.
- Inspects and updates status of all rooms and areas assigned.
- Turns in ready rooms to computer as soon as they become available. Turns in discrepancies with front desk daily before the end of shift.
- Turns in maintenance requests daily.
- Follows up on Room Attendant and houseperson assignments daily, including daily and weekly projects.
- Assist with cleaning guest rooms as needed.
- Maintains cleanliness and orderly conduct on floors.
- Participates in general cleaning with tasks such as turning mattresses and removing sheers and drapes.
- Provides visibility and assistance to guests.
- Assists in maintaining supply inventories.
Requirements
- This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma and one year of job-related experience.
- Previous hotel/resort experience a plus.
- Must be able to speak conversational English.
- Must be able to abide by the company appearance standards and compliance with the designated uniform.
- Dedicated to exceeding service standards and providing services and standards to the highest caliber.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively, effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds at all levels of the organization.
- A Monday - Sunday schedule that allows availability days, holidays, and weekends based on the demands of the hotel.
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and use hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and work the majority of shift on feet.
- Frequently is required to talk or hear.
