The Part-time Cleaning Technician (20 hours per week) performs limited cleaning duties in order to maintain the airport terminal in clean and orderly condition and support the Terminal Services and Appearance department.
Compensation:
- $22.00 per hour

Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs limited cleaning duties to maintain the airport terminal in clean and orderly condition.
- Removes and disposes of trash, replaces liners, and washes and disinfects trash cans as needed.
- Replenishes supplies.
- Performs cleaning of floors and carpets using light equipment including mops, brooms, dust pans, backpack, and push vacuums.
- Uses a variety of custodial cleaning tools, equipment, chemicals, and solutions.
- Maintains and pushes cleaning cart throughout terminal facility.
- Assists other Authority personnel and provides instruction to others as needed.
- Provides customer service to passengers, visitors and tenants by answering questions and directing them to resources via clear and effective communication.
- Prepares and maintains various records related to cleaning activities as required on manual forms or through digital means.
- Maintains compliance with safety, security and environmental regulations and procedures.
- Ensures Terminal Services and Appearance Management is kept apprised of significant events that occur during the shift.
- Communicates effectively and exchanges information in a professional and positive manner with employees, tenants, concessionaires, vendors, contractors, and the public.
- Participates in the Authority’s Safety Management System.
- Uses effective and standard radio communications to communicate with other personnel.
- Completes required trainings.
- Practices and adheres to the Authority’s policies and procedures and federal, state, and local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
Position Requirements:
- High School Graduate/Equivalent
- 18 years or older
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Able to follow instructions, work safely, and independently
- Must meet physical requirements necessary to perform essential functions of the position (with or without a reasonable accommodation)
- Must pass a 10-year pre-employment Criminal History Background Check (CHRC) necessary to obtain federally mandated security clearances, badging, and access to the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport and retain access authority and an active badge with the necessary credentials to perform the essential responsibilities of position
- Must pass a 7-year Pre-employment Background investigation
- Must communicate effectively on airport radio systems
- Must be available to work various shifts to include evenings, weekends, and holidays and work overtime as needed
- 1+ year(s) of experience in relevant work (Preferred)
- Familiarity with and ability to use computers and computer-based programs (e.g., MS Outlook, work order tracking systems) (Preferred)
