Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Museum Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment for our guests.
Duties
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing
- Collect and remove trash and debris
- Clean upholstered furniture
- Perform detailed deep cleans when required
- Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standards
- Protect equipment and make sure there are no inadequacies
- Notify superiors on any damages, deficits, and disturbances
- Respond to reasonable complaints/requests with professionalism and patience
- Maintain a positive relationship with employees and guests
- Monitor and report on the inventory of cleaning supplies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Previous experience in housekeeping management or related field is a plus
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices and floor care techniques
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
- Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks
- Experience in hospitality, museum housekeeping, kitchen maintenance or custodial services is beneficial
- Physical strength and stamina to work extended periods
Desired Certifications
- ServSafe Certification a plus.
