We’re currently seeking a reliable full time Janitorial Operations Manager to be responsible primarily for Chicago area but also must travel through the state of Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana as needed for site visits and inspections. Responsibilities:
- Oversee supervisors and operations across assigned locations.
- Organize periodical work, see clients and suppliers
- Train and mentor supervisors on best practices and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and compliance with company standards.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and checklists tailored to various facilities.
- Verify supply orders, and payroll
- Address any client concerns and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication.
- Prepare reports on staff performance, service quality, and operational issues.
- Monthly meetings and adhere to all reporting that is requested
- Travel throughout the Chicago area and across Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana as needed for site visits and inspections. Once a month travelling will be requested.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential job functions safely and successfully, meeting local standards and productivity benchmarks.
- Must maintain regular, punctual attendance.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of communicating clearly via telephone.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a vehicle for travel (company pays gas allowance)
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Proven working experience as an operations manager.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
- Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Capability to work independently and complete assignments within given parameters and standard practices.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preference for a minimum of two years’ experience as a Janitorial Operations Manager.
- Preference for a minimum of one year in a supervisory, leading, or managing role.
- Bilingual candidates (both English and Spanish).
