Filta* is looking for a hardworking, trustworthy, detail-oriented, and safety conscious individual to join our team as a Service Technician. The primary responsibility of the Service Technician is to safely and efficiently operate a company-provided cargo van, mobile filtration unit (MFU), and related equipment. In this role, you will provide full fryer management services to existing commercial kitchen customers (restaurants, hospitals, corporate cafeterias, colleges, stadiums, assisted living facilities). Once onsite, you will provide fryer management services including:
1. microfiltration and restocking of cooking oil,
2. vacuum-based cleaning of deep fryers, and
3. hauling of waste vegetable oil (WVO) to recycle.

Compensation and Benefits
Pay rate is $18 - $20/hr (estimated $41,600 annually) based up experience with a wage review/adjustment after 90 days.. In addition to competitive hourly rates, a variety of performance-based incentives and bonuses are included but not limited to the following:

Responsibilities
● You will work with, lead and manage a team of technicians in the daily operations of our service business.
● You will direct and coordinate service operations for new and existing accounts.
● Coordinate activities involving record keeping and staff management.
● Assist in controlling costs to maximize profitability.
● This is a field management position and will include running service routes.
● Conduct routine cleaning of restaurant and large facility fryers.

● Navigate to assigned client site and be on time to scheduled service appointments
● Perform demonstrations of Filta services as needed
● Communicate effectively with customers and management
● Follow daily/weekly schedule for care and preventative maintenance of cleaning equipment, storage facility, and cargo van
● Complete basic repair/maintenance of the Filta microfiltration unit (MFU)
● Keep cargo van clean, stocked, and well-organized
● Inventory supplies and materials and submit order requests
● Maintain service records for each customer
● Submit daily service records via mobile app to management and clients
● Report any critical issues or changes with customer staff, fryer oil, and frying habits
● Engage in customer recruitment and retention initiatives
● Clean up spills immediately and keep all work areas clean
● Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and wear required PPE gear provided
● Assure compliance with franchise standards/policies Qualifications
● Valid driver's license, three-year driving history, and good driving record
● Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in hot conditions
● High school diploma/GED or the equivalent in experience
● Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead in a team environment
● Strong written and verbal skills and experience using a computer
● Excellent observation skills, the ability to prioritize and solve problems
● Strong time management skills
● Flexible schedule including early mornings and/or evenings and overnight shifts
● Discipline to work independently with minimal supervision
● Ability to establish credibility and communicate effectively
● Initiative to learn and to stay up to date on the latest service procedures
● The ability to work independently, follow schedules and ensure your team does the same
● Pass drug screening and background check
● Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills a plus
● Previous experience with cooking equipment (fryers, hoods, stoves, ovens, grills, ice machines, coolers, freezers) service/repair, other machinery/cleaning related fields, or military service a plus
● Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
● Ability to see information in print and/or electronically
