Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Trimming and Packaging Manager, Trimming/Packaging technicians will work as a team to assist with all trimming and packaging of dried cannabis plants at the cultivation facility. The technicians will provide the daily care and focused attention necessary to trim and process clean, potent, safe cannabis. The successful candidate will possess a keen attention to detail and record keeping, and a willingness to continually learn more about the subject. Teamwork, leadership, and collaboration are required in order to be successful in this position. This position reports directly to the Trimming and Packaging Manager.
Essential Duties and Major Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of post-harvest processing including trimming, cleaning harvesting, drying, packaging, labeling, waste disposal and inventory management
- Assist with harvesting of plants
- Keep accurate records of each batch of cannabis flower handled and processed
- Records and tracks accurate weights and measurements of cannabis flower throughout the process
- Maintains a clean, safe environment inside the Trimming and Packaging area and around the facility
- Inspects flower for defects using a variety of tools and processes
- Operates, cleans, and stores trimming and packaging supplies and equipment including heat sealers, etc.
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Assists with other duties within the Trimming and Packaging department as assigned by managers
- Assist with other duties as assigned
Experience:
- 6 months of post harvest experience (Preferred)
Specialized Skills:
- Strong attention to detail required, along with the ability to work independently, think critically and problem solve a broad range of technical issues
- Working knowledge of preventive maintenance, process improvement methodologies

- Safety is paramount and critical and one must adhere to all established safety protocols. Ability to frequently stand, crouch, lift, push and pull items and equipment of varying weights and sizes.
Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts
- Days vary from Monday through Sunday, at 40+ hours a week
- Evenings and weekends as needed to satisfy the requirements of the position
