Job Summary:
This position is responsible for working in a fast-paced environment, handling all inbound and outbound mail and deliveries, sorting and scanning of medical forms, shredding, and other mailroom activities.

Essential Functions:
The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
- Open mail and print reports and faxes.
- Perform comprehensive detailed sorting of mail, reports and faxes.
- Scan all mail, reports and faxes according to specific types and instructions.
- Receive and log all special deliveries including FedEx, UPS, and certified mail.
- Distribute, deliver and assist with mail, packages and boxes internally.
- Support other departments in folding, stuffing and posting of special mailings.
- Provide additional scanning support to other departments.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of all mailroom equipment.
- Participate in a shredding maintenance program.Return x-rays received with dental claims.
Required Work Experience:
0-1 years related work experience. Experience Details: General office skills requiring basic use of office equipment and a computer.
Required Education:
High school diploma or GED
Required Qualifications:
- Good verbal and written communication skills are needed.Basic computer skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of medical and dental claims preferred.
- Knowledge of mailroom equipment and shipping procedures preferred.Prior scanning experience preferred.
General Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
