The Housekeeper provides cleaning services to provide a safe, sanitary, comfortable environment for residents and the public.
- Full-time position
- Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday
- Shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs housekeeping duties within the Quail West Facilities.
- Washes and folds laundry. Distributes clean linens and towels.
- Maintains a stocked cleaning cart with needed items.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and respect for the rights, dignity, and individuality of each resident in all interactions.
- Appreciates the importance of maintaining confidentiality of club members and facility information.
- Always demonstrates honesty and integrity in the care and use of facility property.
- Able to understand and to follow written and verbal directions.
- Understand proper use of community equipment.
- Able to communicate effectively with the staff members and club members through verbal and/or written means.
- Sufficient mobility and strength to move freely through the facilities.
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize tasks/responsibilities and complete duties/projects with allotted time.
- Able to respond productively and to handle additional tasks/projects as assigned.
- Cleans (dust, dry mop, wet mop, sanitize, scrub) assigned common areas daily according to facility procedures.
- Disposes of trash and waste, and other materials in a safe manner.
- Post signs indicating a safety hazard any time housekeeping activities pose environmental hazards to staff, residents, visitors, or others in the building.
- Complies with infection prevention and safety standards of practice.
- Familiarize self with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and Universal Worker Precautions for all housekeeping chemicals and cleaning supplies.
- Understands and complies with Five Star Attendance Standards Policy.
- Attends in-service educations programs as assigned. Applies information to job tasks.
- All other housekeeping duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Freedom from illegal use of drugs.
- Freedom from use and effects of use of drugs and alcohol in the workplace.
- Must pass state and company criminal background screen.
- Demonstrates effective time management skills.
- Housekeeping or related experience desired. Demonstrated ability to work as a part of a team and work flexible shifts required.
- Able to accept constructive criticism. Ability to interact with individuals without posing health risks. Must maintain good personal hygiene, wear a uniform, and follow safety rules.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Must be able to climb, bend, lift, stoop, kneel, crawl, push, reach and carry, stand for extended periods of time and may be required to move furniture.
- Ability to detect odors and see spots and spills. Ability to move housekeeping cart with cleaning equipment.
