ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. The Sanitation Supervisor coordinates with the Sanitation lead, participates, documents and follows up on activities of workers engaged in duties concerned with cleaning and sanitation programs at B&W quality growers. Other duties may be assigned.
- Coordinates hours, areas and process with QA lead.
- Assist Sanitation Manager and participates in cleaning of equipment and work areas.
- Inspects premises for unsanitary practices and conditions.
- Compiles required reports regarding regular inspections, sanitation violations, and steps taken to resolve deficiencies.
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
- Interprets company policies for workers and enforces safety regulations.
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems.
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
- Maintains time and sanitation records.
- Performs activities of workers supervised.
Works to maintain and improve on the quality, legality and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture. Responsible for keeping assigned work areas clean and tidy at all times and reporting any potential contamination and suspicious activity to a Supervisor immediately.
Expected to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in a safe manner and according to the standard set by B & W.

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE – One year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Math Ability - Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- COMMUNICATION SKILL LEVEL – Must be able to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing. Bi-lingual (English/Creole) a plus.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. COMPUTER SKILLS – Basic. Should have a basic knowledge and experience with Excel & Outlook. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel,) desired.
- PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS – .Ability plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule with weekends, and long hours if needed. Possible travel to other B&W locations – for work, training, supervision, or other needs.
Environmental conditions are similar to those of a typical production or manufacturing office and that of a packinghouse where temperatures vary inclusive of working in cold controlled temperature of 34 degrees. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The employee is could be exposed to work in high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet or humid conditions (non-weather) and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is expected to tolerate the work environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
