Maintenance/Custodial (second shift)
Position Title: Maintenance/Custodial Worker (second shift)
Effective Date: Immediate
Job Goal:
To ensure the physical school plant and grounds are maintained to a high standard of excellence, facilitating optimal use for educational purposes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in building maintenance or similar roles.
- Physical ability to lift equipment (up to 50 lbs) and operate machinery.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a one-ton truck.
Key Responsibilities:
Hard Floor Maintenance:
- Wet and dry mopping of classrooms, shop areas, common areas, cafeteria, and lobby.
- Spray buffing of classrooms and common areas.
- Sweeping and cleaning stairways.
- Annual stripping and refinishing of all floors.
Carpeted Areas:
- Daily vacuuming and spot cleaning.
- Deep cleaning and annual carpet extraction in classrooms, offices, and carpeted shop areas.
General Maintenance:
- Re-lamping and repairing fixtures in classrooms and shops.
- Daily deep cleaning of kitchen areas.
- Filter changes and other routine maintenance tasks.
Additional Duties:
- Assist with snow removal as needed.
- Promote safety, health, and comfort for students and employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Terms of Employment:
- Full-time, 12-month position.

Compensation:
Anticipated range $21 - $29 per hour, per contract.
