Position: Part Time Cleaner approximately 10 – 12 hours/week
Work Hours: Late morning to early afternoon (approximately 12:00 – 4:00 flexibility with setting schedule) weekdays
Salary: $18 per hour
Job Goal: Assist in providing members and staff with a safe, attractive, comfortable, and clean, environment.
Supervision: Reports to Building and Grounds Supervisor
Recreation Centre is hiring for part-time staff to help maintain cleanliness of facilities. General duties include but are not limited to;
- Cleaning windows
- Cleaning mirrors
- Cleaning countertops and other surfaces as needed
- Wipe down and dust walls, tables, furniture throughout the building on a rotating basis.
- Assist staff in keeping the building and premises neat and clean, including classrooms.
- Assist staff in moving furniture or equipment within building as required for various activities.
Ideal candidate can work independently and be amenable to assisting with small projects.
The position requires the delivery of a full range of cleaning services. A majority of the workday will be spent walking, standing, sitting, and climbing whenever necessary. Activities include frequent physical exertion in body movement such as reaching, bending and twisting. The position requires lifting of objects of 50 pounds on a frequent basis and over 50 pounds occasionally.
