QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must Have High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- Must pass driving test.
- Be able to communicate effectively.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment 5-panel DOT drug screening as well as random drug screenings in the future.
- Must be 18yrs or older.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including regular overtime.
- Be able to work “24hrs On-Call” during pre-scheduled on-call periods.
PREFERRED PAST EXPERIENCE:
- Basic plumbing and or understanding of residential and commercial plumbing and fixtures.
- Cabling/Rootering/Jetting of drain lines.
- Knowledge of sewer lines and septic systems.
- Basic understanding of how storm systems work.
- Understanding on fresh water pipes and underground water lines.
- Understanding the operation of pumps and knowledge on troubleshooting them.
- Customer service training.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as: hoses, pipes, shovels, digging bars and other tools.
- Ability to operate a cell phone.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to lift up to 75-100lbs.
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
- Ability to operate power and hand tools safely.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Cleaning drains by using cable machines and jetters.
- Completing basic plumbing repairs and fixing water leaks.
- Locating and exposing of utilities and septic systems.
- Troubleshooting sewer and septic systems.
- Working on schools, military bases, construction sites and residential homes.
- Plan daily route based on jobs assigned.
- Insure that all calls are made as scheduled.
- Responsible for the safety and security of the truck and equipment, including securing the hand-tools at the end each job. Complete Truck Inspection Report daily and report maintenance and safety concerns.
- Instruct and supervise truck helper, and that good personal and professional work habits are taught by example, as well as by instruction.
- Promptly report to immediate supervisor, manager and dispatcher all accidents involving truck, personal injury or property damage.
- Act as the representative of Drain-Pro and insure that all customers are treated courteously. Immediately report all problems that occur during driving to the job or that happen on the job to supervisor, and dispatch.
- Must maintain a neat appearance, including clean company issued logoed clothing, clean-, neatly trimmed beard/hair trimmed neatly, shirttail tucked in and appropriate footwear.
- Responsible for the loading and unloading of assigned truck. Assist in the loading or unloading of other trucks as requested.
- Attend all mandatory driver department and safety meetings.
- Report all infractions of safety procedures to your manager, including drivers backing up their trucks without the assistance of a back-up guide when one is available.
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, from time to time, by dispatch and or management.
COMPENSATION:
- Pay is negotiable upon experience and qualifications base starting at 19.00 per hour with no experience.
- PTO and Birthday paid off.
