***Working Hours: Evening Shift 4:30pm***
Job Summary: Performs a variety of duties as required in the Finishing and soiled department to include sweeping floors, stairwells, empty trash, blowdown of lint, operating baler, cleaning exterior grounds, cleaning breakroom and bathrooms, mop floor where needed, and any other function as required by management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean breakroom and restrooms, free of trash, tables cleaned, ensure area around ice machine is clean with no water on floor
- Ensure floor is slip free, mop any wet areas and place warning sign by area
- Blowdown of equipment, ceilings, under machines as required by schedule and record on blowdown log.
- Disinfect all tables and flat surfaces in finishing daily. Record on Disinfectant Log
- Utilize dry vac to remove lint and debris in areas that are not able to be swept.
- Sweep soil room and stairwells daily. Mop head is to be removed when finished and placed in wash to avoid cross- contamination.
- Sweep dock, parking lot by dock daily. Remove any trash in parking lot, by sidewalk and by office daily.
- Mop floor at Cart Washer daily, mop finishing floor and clean scale area where needed.
- Mop washroom floor daily. Mop head is to be removed when finished and placed in wash to avoid cross-contamination.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Complete daily checklist as required by management.
- Keep plant and exterior grounds clean and organized, and the floor free of debris and trash.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to work a flexible schedule including overtime. Be able to lift 50 lbs. and push/pull a wheeled cart of 650 lbs. This person must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
