Position Profile:
Leads and coordinates activities of pantry, storeroom, and non-cooking kitchen workers as well as purchases, kitchen supplies, and equipment. Inspects kitchens, workrooms, storerooms and equipment for cleanliness and order. Maintain health, safety, and hygiene in all culinary areas.
With high integrity, ensure that guests experience the highest quality 5-star culinary standards.
Knowledge of machine operations - dishwashing machine, loading dishwashing solutions into automatic dispensers and regulate water temperature, output of detergents and chemicals.
Inspect dishes for cleanliness and place clean dishes carefully in assigned storage location, scrubbing pots, pans and other kitchen equipment that cannot be washed automatically.
Inspect all polished silver, stainless steel and related tableware used in food service.
Ensure all designated equipment are cleaned, kitchen substances (such as grease) and kitchen chemicals disposed of properly, trash cans emptied and cleaned, garbage containers are transported to dump sites and adhere to recycling regulations.
Ensure kitchen floors are cleaned at the end of each meal period and after each spill, work area and kitchen equipment are cleaned and in order according to procedures to maximize efficiency and safety.
Assist with general kitchen prep duties, banquet, or other setups.
Ensures compliance to all hotel policies, standards, and core practices.
Actively demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication, accuracy in transactions, respect, sincerity, helpfulness, courtesy, and humility.
Performs other duties as assigned.
