Position: Public Area Attendant
Reports to: Housekeeping Supervisor
FLSA designation: Non-Exempt
Primary Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)
General responsibilities
· Parking Lot and Bay Window sweep; trash pickup, general cleaning.
· Vacuum Hallway & Front Desk including cleaning the wood floor areas with cleaner, including the vestibule area and stairs leading to the second floor.
· All furniture dusted and windows in the front lobby area cleaned inside & out and baseboards and vents wiped daily.
· Executive Office – check & dust desks, vents, blinds and walls, clean and stock bathrooms, empty the paper shredder, and dust pictures.
· Sales, Reservations, Front Desk, Administrative & F&B Offices- take out trash, dust walls and pictures; vacuum as needed vacuum the lobby and the hallway.
· Cobwebs cleaned in the high area of the atrium along with the Lobby area.
· API offices - Take out trash, vacuum, and dust.
· All supplies stocked and cleaners refilled.
· Help wash, dry and fold towels and sheets as needed.
Center Core Area
· Windows cleaned inside & out, all furniture dusted, Kingdom Magazines restocked, outside light fixtures and eaves free of dust, webs, nests, and mud dobbers as needed.
· Trash can and stairway behind the meeting room.
· Spa Breezeway & Portico Area.
· Vacuum all carpets, dust and empty trash cans.
MLR Breezeway
· Empty trash and bleach stone trash cans as needed.
· Cleaning of walkway areas. The eaves in the breezeways need to free of cobwebs, nests, and mud dobbers as needed.
· Stairs leading to Mr. Palmer’s office, including dusting the cobwebs & taking down & cleaning all light fixtures.
· The windows must be cleaned daily.
Member’s Lounge
· Wood floors cleaned.
· Carpet vacuumed& cushions on the chairs & sofa cleaned-remove cushions and vacuum
· Widows cleaned inside & out. All furniture, pictures and fixtures dusted
· Garden area free of trash and cigarette butts.
· Ceiling vents cleaned monthly or as needed.
· Mirror behind the bar & fireplace area cleaned.
Bay Window
· All floors cleaned and all furniture, mirrors, ledges, light fixtures & mirrors wiped down.
· Windows cleaned, including the patio & ledges
Café’ and Pool area
· All windows in & out clean, tracks and ledges included.
· Floors mopped daily, once a week scrubbed with a deck brush to keep grout clean, including the bathrooms, all pumps taken apart, cleaned & filled & fixtures shined.
· Ceiling vents and fans and walls cleaned.
· Pick up trash/towels on the pool deck and straighten chairs.
· Pool Restrooms and area- take out trash, vacuum rugs, and stock paper towels and pick up trash.
· Trash cans emptied, stones bleached as needed, widows & ledges cleaned as needed, & railing around the pool wiped.
Tennis
· Windows in shop cleaned, including light fixtures, wiping down the rails as needed by the entrance
· Eaves & ceiling fans will need to cleaned & free of webs & mud dobbers as needed.
Grill Room
· Floors vacuumed and cleaned.
· Windows cleaned inside and out and mirrors.
· Walkway areas cleaned and sanitized.
All Bathrooms
· Grill, Lobby, Center Core, Tennis & Pool, Cart Barn, Golf Course, Halfway house and Kitchen.
· All fixtures polished, pumps taken apart, cleaned, and refilled, all supplies stocked
· Floors mopped daily, and deck brushed once per week for a deep clean
· Toilets, urinals, etc. cleaned.
Spa
· Responsible for general cleaning, stocking, & picking up dirty towels
· Taking apart all pumps, including the ones in the showers, making sure they are clean and full
· All faucets shined and walls cleaned.
· Clean drain in the steam rooms, vacuum carpets, mop tile floor, dust; mop floor in front and aerobics room, clean mirrors in aerobics room
Locker Rooms
· All faucets shined & free of spots
· All pumps taken apart, cleaned and refilled
· Tile mopped daily, with tile being deck brushed and hosed once per week to keep grout clean
· All furniture and pictures dusted & floors vacuumed
· Towels stocked & picked up throughout the day
Qualifications and Characteristics Required
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
· Any combination of education or experience equivalent to the graduation of high school or any other combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform to the position standards. High school diploma preferred.
· No prior experience required. Prior hospitality or housekeeping experience preferred.
· Ability to read and speak the English language sufficient to understand direction and to meet guest needs.
· Ability to pay attention to detail and identify problems.
· Basic knowledge of cleanliness procedures.
Physical/Mental Requirements
· Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs.
· Must be able to endure long periods of standing, sitting and walking.
· Able to bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, and stretch for the duration of the required shift.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
