Job Summary: The Manager of Custodial Services oversees and coordinates the activities of custodial staff, ensuring effective and efficient cleaning and maintenance operations. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage a team, excellent organizational abilities to schedule and prioritize tasks, and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Provide leadership and direction to the team, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring high morale and productivity.

Operational Oversight:
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure all areas are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
Monitor and inspect facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.
Address any issues or concerns promptly to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
Develop and manage the custodial services budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and expenditures are within budgetary guidelines.
Promote professional development and growth opportunities for team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
Communicate effectively with staff, management, and stakeholders regarding custodial services and related issues.
Qualifications:
Proven experience 5 years in custodial or facilities management
Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively under pressure.
Knowledge of budget management and inventory control.
High school diploma/GED required; additional education or certification in facilities management or related field preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb stairs or ladders as needed.
Employees of Kennett Consolidated School District must have the ability to establish and maintain effective and appropriate working relationships with other employees, faculty, students, and the general public.
Candidates must have a valid PA Driver's License, must be in good physical condition, and be able to pass a physical examination required by the district.
