COMMERCIAL CLEANING AREA MANAGER
A TFG HI Commercial Cleaning Area Manager is an “in-the-field” working leader who can professionally engage with clients while also selecting, leading, and motivating their janitorial teams. The successful candidate must be a reliable, hardworking, self-motivated professional who has high standards for customer satisfaction and problem solving.
Area Manager Responsibilities:
- Ensure the cleanliness of assigned properties which include office suites, restrooms, and indoor and outdoor common areas.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for your properties and understand how to effectively use the appropriate cleaning products and methods for different facilities.
- Ability to safely drive to different client sites.
- Must be consistently reliable, efficient, and have a high commitment to service excellence.
- Demonstrate professionalism, high integrity, and self-discipline to do what’s right.
- Effectively communicate with customers and coworkers.

- Your work includes:
- Client Relations
- Serve as the lead to successfully onboard new accounts.
- Collaborate with the client and home office to resolve issues or concerns.
- Develop and maintain relationships with both existing and new customers.
- Maintain a high level of customer service through consistent quality control checks.
- Team Leader - Hire, train, certify, motivate, and inspire a distributed team of janitors to accomplish work.
- Train team on how to properly and safely service clients.
- As needed, such as for new accounts when cleaners are not in place, select and recruit your janitorial team.
- Audit inventory and deliver supplies to client sites.
- Regularly inspect your team’s work.
- Coach team members.
- Lead team meetings as necessary.
- Assist and clean as necessary.
- Manage the labor and supply costs within approved budgets.
Area Manager Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Supervisory experience within the janitorial industry, housekeeping, or similar service industry is highly preferred.
- Will need to drive company vehicles. Preference will be given to candidates who have a valid driver's license with a clean abstract.
- Possess clear and effective communication skills. Basic English proficiency is necessary. Bi-lingual (Tagalog or Ilocano) is helpful.
- Must be able to:
- Comfortably lift 25 lbs.
- Walk, stand, stoop, stretch, bend, sweep, wipe, mop, and vacuum frequently for long periods of time (up to 4 – 8 hours).
- Drive throughout the day to visit client sites. Must have a valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Ability to train and teach others.
- Highly organized self-starter and motivated problem solver.
- Strong interpersonal, time management and presentation skills as well as the ability to develop strong and lasting business relationships.
- Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are highly preferred.

- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues of all levels and build cross-functional relationships.
