This position supervises Service/Cleaning personnel by coordinating the service and cleaning of all Light Rail Vehicles. This is a safety sensitive position subject to the rules of the RTD Drug and Alcohol Policy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Recruits staff to include interviewing, hiring, assigning work, training, coaching, and counseling to ensure consistent application of Employee Guidelines, processes, and procedures. Conducts performance review, and holds employees accountable for performance of their responsibilities.
- Organizes, coordinates, inspects and controls quality of work performed.
- Schedules vehicle movement to support maintenance repair operations to ensure safe, clean, reliable equipment is supplied to the organization.
- Ensures that employees are kept well informed on any new work procedures, materials and technical changes and the organization’s policies and procedures. Coordinates and conducts new employee and procedural change training.
- Reviews and/or develops methods to increase quality, productivity and safety.
- Monitors adherence to all procedures. Submits revisions of these procedures for approval as necessary to ensure a smooth workflow.
- All other job-related duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of one year of experience in a service/cleaning function.
- A minimum of one year of experience acting in a leadership or a supervisory capacity.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to maintain a Medical Examiners Certificate
- Knowledge of MSDS/DOT Safety regulations, including HAZMAT
- Demonstrated basic math, computer and data entry skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and through written means.
- Ability to use sound judgment.
- Ability to manage time and workload effectively which includes planning, organizing, and prioritizing with attention to details.
- Flexibility to work any shift/any location

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
