We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to partner with us as a Cleaning Tech. As a Tech, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include performing custodial duties, adhering to cleaning schedules, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and sanitation of the school premises. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and understands the importance of creating a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, dusting furniture, and cleaning windows to maintain a clean and tidy appearance throughout the school.
- Empty trash containers regularly and dispose of waste following appropriate protocols.
- Clean and sanitize restroom facilities, ensuring supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper are adequately stocked.
- Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as hallways, stairways, and cafeteria by removing debris, ensuring proper signage, and addressing spills or other hazards promptly.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces, including tables, chairs, high touch points, to provide a conducive learning environment.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and functionality of equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers, reporting any malfunctions or repair needs to the appropriate authorities.
- Assist with setting up and tearing down furniture and equipment for special events, meetings, and school functions.
- Collaborate with other custodial staff and communicate effectively with faculty and administration regarding any specific cleaning needs or concerns.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Respond to urgent cleaning requests and emergencies in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.
Our ideal candidate is someone who will take pride in keeping the facility beautiful, clean and safe for all occupants. Applicants should have some professional cleaning experience or be familiar with cleaning products and equipment.
This is a 1099 position, pay will be paid on monthly basis. Must have transportation, general knowledge of cleaning and cleaning tools. Communication Skills is a must. Must pass background check. Please re-read the description and be sure the hours fit your needs before applying.
